GRIEVANCES REDRESSAL MECHANISM:
As per the, All India Council for Technical Education (Redressal of Grievance of Faculty/Staff Member) Regulations, 2021, Institute of Management Bhubaneswar has set up a Grievances Redressal Mechanism to address the complaints/Grievances of faculty and staff members in a speedy and judicious manner.
Generally, it envisages the complaints regarding working conditions and workplace facilities, workload, duties, responsibilities, or allocation of assignments, salary, allowances, benefits, or other employment-related matters.
Institute of Management Bhubaneswar will have Grievances Redressal Mechanism set up at two levels:
1. Grievances Redressal Committee set up by university
2. Ombudsman
The setup of Grievances Redressal Committee by institute takes into consideration the complaints pertaining to leave, attendance, working hours, or service conditions, performance appraisal, promotion, or career-related matters, workplace discrimination, harassment, bullying, or unfair treatment general administration issues on the campus.
The chairperson of the committee will be Prof. Dr. Trilochan Nayak (Director) and the details of other members of the SGRC are as listed below:

Procedure for submission of Complaints :
1. Any faculty or staff member having a genuine grievance may submit a written complaint to the Chairperson, Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC).
2. The complaint shall clearly mention the name, designation, department, date, and contact details of the complainant.
3. The complaint shall contain a brief and clear description of the grievance and the relief/action sought.
4. Relevant documents or supporting evidence, if any, should be attached with the complaint.
5. The complaint may be submitted through the prescribed grievance submission mechanism, such as written application, grievance box, official email, or online portal of the Institution.
6. The Member Secretary shall acknowledge and register the complaint and assign a reference number, wherever applicable.
7. The Grievance Redressal Committee shall examine the complaint fairly and impartially and may seek clarification or additional documents from the concerned persons.
8. The complainant and other concerned persons shall be given a reasonable opportunity to present their case, wherever necessary.
9. The Committee shall submit its findings/recommendations to the competent authority/concerned University or State DTE, as applicable, within the prescribed time frame.
10. The decision/action taken shall be communicated to the complainant, and an aggrieved faculty/staff member may prefer an appeal before the appropriate higher authority as per applicable AICTE/University/State DTE rules.
